Kirsten Nangala Egan, born in 1989 in Yuendumu, Australia, paints her family’s Dreamings: Emu (Yankirri Jukurrpa), Fire Country (Warlukurlangu Jukurrpa), Flying Ant (Pampardu Jukurrpa), and Water (Ngapa Jukurrpa). Her work, reflecting her land and its creatures, is a tradition passed down from her mother Madeleine Napangardi Dixon and grandmother Jeannie Nungarrayi Egan.
