About Funky Sock Co

Funky Sock Co started because our founder Corey loves socks! Corey has a passion for supporting others around him and he wanted to create a type of ‘canvas’ that local artists could use to express themselves on. Corey also wanted to create a product that made people smile :) Funky Sock Co not only link people to fond memories of their childhood but also creates opportunities for people to create new memories with a little dash of happiness!

Funky Sock Co is different. Using ethical manufacturing, sustainable bamboo harvesting, recycled cardboard packaging, natural dyes and working with local artists to bring their artwork/dreams to life.

Funky Sock Co is a small operated business in Burleigh Heads, Queensland. It regularly attends the Village Markets at the Burleigh Heads State School and is actively involved in the creative space of the community by supporting other small businesses through its online platform and in person at events/fundraisers.

Why Bamboo Fibre?

Bamboo is an extremely durable and resilient fibre. At the same time, bamboo feels incredibly soft and lovely to the touch. When compared in studies to cotton and polyester, it has been found to be stronger, have better moisture wicking properties and better moisture absorption than the more commonplace Western materials.
